Rachel beanie crochet pattern
I made this nice beanie for cold days and love to share the pattern with you. The yarn I used is named ‘Rachel’. It’s a dk weight yarn. I used crochet hook size 6 mm.
- ch = chain
- sl st = slip stitch
- sc = single crochet
- dc = double crochet
- st = stitch
- mr = magic ring
- inc = 2 dc in 1 stitch
Rachel beanie crochet pattern.
Close each round with a sl st. Then ch 3. Each ch3 is the first dc of the next round. Don’t turn.
|Round 1||Mr; ch 3; 11 dc (12)|
|Round 2||Ch 3, dc in the same st; 2 dc in each st around (24)|
|Round 3||Ch 3; inc in next st; *dc in next st ; inc in the next.|
|Repeat from * around (36)|
|Round 4||Ch 3; dc in next st; inc in next st *dc in next 2 st;|
|inc in the next. Repeat from * around (48)|
|Round 5||Ch 3; dc in next 2 st; inc in next st; *dc in next 3 st;|
|inc in next st; Repeat from * around (60)|
|Round 6||Ch 3; dc in next 3 st; inc in next st; *dc in next 4 st;|
|inc in next st; Repeat from * around (72)|
Now we begin with another stitch. From here on you have to turn after each round. The rounds are still closed with a sl st, but you don’t have to ch 3 anymore
Ch 4; 3 dc in the same stitch:
*Skip the next 3 st; sc in the next st; 3 dc in the same st as the dc you just made.
Repeat from * around, until you have 3 st left. Close with a sl st in the first st of round 7.
Turn your work and ch 4. Crochet 3 dc in the first loop of the ch4 you just made.
Go to the first dc cluster on the left (you made in round 7) There’s a space between the 3 dc and the ch 3 in that cluster. *Crochet a sc in that space.
Ch 3 and crochet 3 dc in the same space where you made the sc.
Go to the next cluster and repeat from *. Keep repeating until you reach the last cluster of the previous round.
Crochet a sc in the space between the ch3 and 3 dc of that cluster. Then go the first cluster you made in this round (round 8) and crochet a sl st in the space between the ch3 and 3 dc. Your round is closed now.
Repeat round 8 until you reach your desired length. Weave in the ends. Enjoy your rachel beanie!
