Materials

  • 1 skein yarn dark green
  • 1 skein yarn purple
  • 1 skein yarn black
  • leftover light green
  • leftover light green
  • leftover red
  • leftover white
  • 15 to 20 sequins
  • stitch marker
  • stuffing
  • crochet hook 3,0 mm
  • embroidery needle

Abbreviations

  • ch = chain
  • st = stitch
  • sl st = slip stitch
  • sc = single crochet
  • dc = double crochet
  • trc = triple crochet
  • mr = magic ring
  • dec = decrease (2 stitches together)
  • inc = increase (2 stitches in the same stitch)
  • picot = chain 3, sl st in first of 3 chains

This crochet pattern is made in continous rounds. Don’t close the rounds.

Head

Round 1 Crochet with dark green a mr with 6 sc (6)

Stuff, pull the thread through the 12 outer loops, pull to close the gap and fasten off.

Eye (make 2)

Round 1 Crochet with black a mr with 6 sc.
Change to white.
Round 2 This round you crochet 2 sc in each st:
With white: 2 sc in the first 3 stitches, change to light green,
2 sc in the last 3 stitches. End with a sl st in
the first white stitch. Now you have 12 stitches.
Embroider a light dot like shown in the picture, with an
end of the white thread.
Cut the yarn, but leave a green and
white sewing tail. Weave in the other ends.

Nose

Round 1 Crochet with dark green a mr with 6 sc (6)
Round 2 2 sc in each st (12)
Round 3 2 sc in each 2nd st (18)
Round 4 Each 5th and 6th together (15)
Round 5 Each 4th and 5th together (12)

Fasten of and leave a sewing tail.

Stuff the nose and sew it between round 18 and 25 on the head.
Sew on the eyes between round 13 and 20. Use light green yarn for the green part and white yarn for the white part.
Embroider the mouth, eyelashes and eyebrows like shown in the picture.

Fasten of and leave a black sewing tail.

Hair

Cut pieces of yarn with a 24 cm length. You crocheted round 29 in the outer loops. On the inside of the hat you see the inner loops of that round. Attach a piece of yarn to each loop, but leave a third part of the loops open. Otherwise she’ll have hair in her face.

Sew the hat on the head. Sew the stitches in round 30 of the hat, so the edge stays loose.

Body

Round 1 Crochet with dark green a mr with 6 sc (6)
Round 2 2 sc in each st (12)
Round 3 2 sc in each 2nd st (18)
Round 4 2 sc in each 3rd st (24)
Round 5 2 sc in each 4th st (30)
Round 6 2 sc in each 5th st (36)
Change to black.
Round 7 Crochet this round in the inner loops:
2 sc in each 6th st (42)
I already sewed the body on the head and
continued crocheting after.
Sew between round 4 and 5 of the crocheted
piece of the body.
Round 8 1 sc in each st (42)
Round 9 2 sc in each 7th st (48)
Round 10 1 sc in each st (48)

Stuff the body while you’re crocheting.
Round 36 Each 4th and 5th st together (24)

Stuff the body, close the gap like you did with the head and fasten off.

Edging dress

Attach with dark green to an outer loop of round 32 of the body, and crochet:
*sc – dc – (trc, picot, trc in 1 stitch) – dc. Repeat from * to the end of the round. Close with a sl st and fasten off.

Arm (make 2)

Round 1 Crochet with dark green a mr with 6 sc (6)
Round 2 2 sc in each st (12)
Round 3 1 sc in each st (12)

Change to black.
Round 9 1 sc in each st (12) Stuff the hand. Change to purple.

Stuff the leg, fold the tops of the leg together and close with 6 of 7 sc. Leave a sewing tail.
